Action Code Interpretation: An application for an Experimental Use Permit for a microbial or biochemical pesticide, where the proposed use meets the definition of a food use and requires that the applicant submit data to enable the Agency to conduct a dietary exposure assessment.  The proposed use may require that the applicant submit a petition for an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for the active ingredient. If required, the temporary tolerance exemption is established for an appropriate period of time to allow the harvested commodity to enter the food or feed supply during the experimental period.
