EPA Regional Administrator Checks Progress at NJ Superfund Site
Judith Enck, the newly-appointed EPA Regional Administrator, paid a visit to the Cornell Dubilier Superfund site in South Plainfield, NJ at which $30 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds is being put to work for the community. The Recovery Act money has accelerated the hazardous waste cleanup already underway at the site, and is part of the $600 million being used to advance work at Superfund sites across the country.

EPA Releases Most Up-to-Date Information Ever About Chemicals in Region 2
Did you know that with a few clicks of a mouse, you can learn how many pounds of toxic air pollutants were generated by your local power plant, or how many pounds of toxic chemicals were released by a factory near your child’s school? “Public awareness is a powerful tool and empowering the public with basic information about toxic chemicals in their communities advances our commitment to transparency and promotes openness between governments, businesses and the public,” said Judith Enck, EPA Regional Administrator.
