FARR Burn Bans

EPA has called no burn bans for Indian Reservations in Region 10

*****

The Nez Perce Tribe ERWM Air Quality Program, the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR ), the Quinault Indian Nation, and the Coeur d'Alene Tribe have been delegated authority to call burn bans for their reservations. Please check with the Tribe before burning.

If you live on the Nez Perce Indian Reservation, please check the Nez Perce ERWM Air Quality Program website or call 1-800- 720-4089 to find out whether burning is allowed on the Reservation. You must have a Nez Perce Air Quality Burn Permit (issued for EPA by the Nez Perce Tribe) in order to conduct burning on the Nez Perce Reservation.

If you live on the Umatilla Indian Reservation, please check with the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation's Office of Air Quality. Contact John Cox, Air Quality Coordinator, at (541) 966-2477 to find out whether burning is allowed on the Reservation.

If you live outside of an Indian Reservation, please check the following links for more information about burn bans called by state and local air quality agencies:
