Region 5’s Community Climate Change Initiative (C3I)

What is C3I?

EPA recognizes the critical role that local governments play in addressing climate change and commends the many communities that have already begun to take action. C3I is an opportunity for EPA to share its climate partnership programs with Region 5 municipalities and for our communities to be recognized for their efforts to address climate change.

Why should your community be a part of C3I?

EPA has many partnership programs and resources that can assist municipal efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Our partnership programs, which offer useful information and technical assistance, can help meet the commitments of the Mayors Climate Protection Agreement and other greenhouse gas reduction programs. Additionally, these programs offer your community public recognition for partnering with EPA.
