Schedules
Reminder
Schedules are subject to change. Check the list of monthly schedule changes. [EPA only]
A records schedule constitutes EPA's official policy on how long to keep Agency records (retention) and what to do with them afterwards (disposition).
Only schedules approved for use by the National Archives and Records Administration are included here. Draft schedules [EPA only] are available on the intranet.
Search the final schedules by keyword:
- function code
- number
- title
- program
- applicability
- revision date

These schedules apply to records owned by and in the custody of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. EPA schedules do not apply to records required by EPA's regulations that are owned and maintained by individuals, businesses, and non-EPA organizations. Record retention requirements for the regulated community are found in the Federal Register and Code of Federal Regulations.
