This schedule authorizes the disposition of the record copy in any media (media neutral), excluding any records already in electronic form. Records designated for permanent retention must be transferred to the National Archives in accordance with NARA standards at the time of transfer.

Description:
Includes copies of committee records, such as agendas, meeting minutes, final reports and related records created by or documenting the accomplishments of official boards and commissions maintained by parties other than the sponsor or secretariat.
Excludes: Records maintained by the sponsor or secretariat of advisory commissions, committees, councils, boards and other groups established under the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) scheduled as EPA 181.

Guidance:
Committee records kept by the sponsor or secretariat of advisory commissions, committees, councils, boards and other groups established under the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) are covered by EPA 181. Records maintained by EPA's Committee Management Officer in the Office of the Administrator for committees established under FACA are scheduled as EPA 180.

Reasons for Disposition:
The following change was made in the 12/31/2009 version:
- Revised the schedule title to confirm to GRS 26, item 3.
Conforms to NARA's General Records Schedule 26, item 3. This item was previously approved as item b of N1-412-94-2/28. Item a of N1-412-94-2/28 which was appraised as permanent by NARA has been combined with EPA 181.
Item b for electronic mail and word processing system copies was deleted 08/16/2006 pursuant to NARA Bulletin 2006-04.
