Drake Team Perfoms Scheduled Maintenance

LOCK HAVEN, Pa.; June 24, 1998 -- The Drake Cleanup Team, last evening, suspended production for approximately four days while workers perform a series of planned maintenance tasks. The team scheduled the work, which will take care of routine wear on various parts of the plant, in order in minimize disruption to the production schedule. Major items of work will include replacement of worn feed screws, replacement of the feed screw water cooling jacket, preventative maintenance on several pumps, replacement of several gas feed hoses and inspection of the double-dump gate in the clean soil handling subsystem. Work cleaning contaminated soil at this former chemical plant site has progressed well through the month of June. The team anticipates resuming full production over the weekend.
