EPA announces a creative approach for helping American facilities recycle, recover energy, and minimize waste. – Urging Americans to take renewed responsibility for their individual impact on the environment, EPA announced the "Resource Conservation Challenge", a program where the National Partnership for Environmental Priorities is an important component, challenging companies to curb by 10 percent the generation of 31 harmful chemicals found in hazardous waste by 2008.
