Dave Friedman
Dave Friedman is a Waste Minimization Team member in EPA’s Mid-Atlantic Region. He provides technical and regulatory support to the Waste Minimization Team, states and industry. Dave has over 19 years experience in hazardous waste management programs with EPA and another 5 years with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
Dave has a B.S. in Chemistry and an M.S. in Environmental Chemistry, both from Drexel University, and is a member of the American Chemical Society.

Sharon
D. Pérez-Suárez, PMP, CHMM
Sharon D. Pérez-Suárez is a member of the EPA Region 3 Waste Minimization Team. She is responsible for implementing the National Partnership for Environmental Priorities (NPEP) across the Mid-Atlantic Region and providing technical assistance to industries and state facilities.
Sharon has over 5 years of experience in government and university research. Prior to joining EPA, Sharon was an Environmental Specialist with Project Resources Inc. (PRI), a private environmental engineering and remediation consulting firm. With PRI, Sharon provided technical support for several Superfund sites and groundwater contamination projects. In addition, she worked with city and state water and wastewater treatment facilities to provide compliance assistance under the EPA Risk Management Program (RMP), while performing risk assessment audits.
Sharon holds a bachelor's degree in Geology from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez; and two master's degrees: one in Geochemistry from the University of Florida at Gainesville, and a one in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is currently certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute in Pennsylvania.

Peter Piergiovanni, P.E.
Peter Piergiovanni is a Waste Minimization Team member in the US EPA Mid-Atlantic Region. Peter has over 14 years experience as a process and packaging systems engineer. He has completed various projects for multiple companies including feasibility reports, technical sales, manufacturing line studies, and equipment systems design, installation, commissioning and start-up.
Peter holds a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering Degree from Villanova University. He is a Professional Engineer (P.E.) with licenses in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
