- May 17, 2006 "Opportunities
for Priority Chemical Reduction in the Iron and Steel Sectors: A Dialog
with Steel, Foundry, and Scrap Industry Leaders on Waste Minimization
Opportunities for Priority Chemical Reductions in Waste Streams from

The workshop provided an understanding of issues related to the iron
and steel sectors, as well as innovative ideas for industry to reduce
the presence of priority chemicals in waste streams from melting operations.
- October 25, 2005 NPEP Awards Ceremony. The first
annual NPEP Awards Ceremony was held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Crystal
City, Virginia.NPEP
partners who have completed their enrollment goals and submitted
success
stories received NPEP Achievement Awards. NPEP also hosted the first
National NPEP Workshop in concert with the Awards Ceremony. The Workshop
focused on training and sector issues presented by Regional and State
Waste Minimization staff.
