RCRA Cross State Regulatory Summary
You will need Adobe Reader to view some of the files on this page. See EPA's PDF page to learn more.
The Cross State Regulatory Summary is designed to assist you in finding a state analogue to a corresponding Federal regulation. The scope of the summary is restricted to Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations for the six Region 5 states (Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin). The RCRA regulations can be found at 40 CFR 260-270, and 273 and 279. To keep the summary easy to use, the basic breakdown is as follows: 260.1, 260.2, 260.3 etc.
Please note that this is only a reference tool designed to assist you in locating state analogues. We make no representations as to the accuracy, completeness, status or equivalency of the regulations or statutes cited or the information provided.
Since resources do not allow this summary to be updated weekly, some of the newer regulations may be missing, and others may be out of date. But most will not be affected, even after many years. Some states are prone to renumbering, a change that we hope to address soon after it occurs. In any event, while the Cross State Regulatory Summary is meant to assist the user in locating state vs. federal analogues, we cannot guarantee it to be error free.
