Superfund Training in Region 5
The Environmental Response Team (ERT), offers courses that are designed for Federal, State, and Local Governement personnel who respond or who investigate and clean up abandoned hazardous waste sites. Training is provided in safety and health as well as in the various technical operations needed to identify, evaluate, and control hazardous substances that have been released.
The CERCLA Education Center (CEC) offers U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on-scene coordinators (OSC), remedial project managers (RPM), site assessment managers (SAM), and other environmental professionals training courses on the many aspects of Superfund and the latest environmental technologies. The courses provide not only basic definitions and procedures, but detailed presentations on EPAs role with other federal agencies as well.
