Green Building - McCormack Federal Building at Post Office Square
The renovation of the historic John W. McCormack Building at Post Office
square is expected to set the standard in the integration of historical preservation
and modern day sustainability. The building will meet at least a Silver and
possibly a Gold Rating under the US Green Building Council's Leadership in
Energy And Environment Design (LEED) program. Green features include energy
efficient heating and cooling systems, an innovative green
roof, recycled
content products used in the building and finish materials, day lighting,
and many other additional features.
The green roof on the fourth and fifth floors will be a significant highlight and a welcoming amenity for all of us. more »
