Region 2 Compliance

Federal statutes and executive orders mandate Federal agencies to comply with federal, state, and local environmental pollution control requirements. EPA's long-term goal is to ensure that federal facility compliance rates meet or exceed those of the private sector, and that, ideally, Federal facilities will serve as environmental role models for the regulated community. EPA pursues a vigorous enforcement program for the Federal facilities sector in order to help federal facilities achieve this improved level of compliance.
