Pollution Prevention Technology Template - is a succinct, user-friendly tool developed by U.S. EPA New England and Stone & Webster  Engineering Corporation for systematically presenting essential information on P2 technologies, and allowing comparison between technologies and their applications in different settings.  Until now, no consistent format existed for describing the essential features of P2 technologies, including design, performance, cost, regulatory issues, experience record, and lessons learned from previous applications. This lack of complete and consistent information  on P2 technologies has made them appear to involve greater risk than traditional control technologies.

Programs/Project

ETV - EPA has instituted a new program, the Environmental Technology Verification Program - or ETV - to verify the performance of innovative technical solutions to problems that threaten human health or the environment. ETV was created to substantially accelerate the entrance of technology buyers and developers, consulting engineers, States, and EPA regions with high quality data on the performance of new technologies. This will allow for the more rapid protection of the environment with better and less expensive approaches
