Bill Wisniewski joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 1976, and has held the position of Assistant Regional Administrator for Policy and Management. In April 2006, he was appointed Deputy Regional Administrator for the Middle Atlantic Region of EPA.

As a member of the Senior Executive Service, Bill was honored by former President Bush with the Presidential Rank Award for Distinguished Service. Between 2000 and 2006, Bill worked in the private sector as a Consultant specializing in Organizational Management and was a professor with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Graduate School, and the Federal Personnel Management Institute. At the Graduate School, Bill was recognized as USDA's outstanding professor.

In his current job, Bill is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Regional Office with over 1000 employees covering the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Delaware and the District of Columbia, and responsible for all environmental programs in EPA's Mid-Atlantic Region.
