Pollution Prevention
Grants Program Application
EPA recently issued our FY06 P2 Grant Program Request for Application notice announcing the availability of funds for regional grants that support state and tribal pollution prevention programs. Information concerning eligibility, cost share, application and submittal requirements may be found on the EPA Pollution Prevention Website.
Applications should address the national priorities as listed in the solicitation notice. The EPA Mid-Atlantic office listed additional priorities. In addition, Guidance on Measuring Results describes how EPA will evaluate the applicant's participation in the National Pollution Prevention Results System as demonstrated by the applicant's agreement to use the System's P2 common measures and to submit data to the System.

Request
for Grant Proposals to Support Source Reduction
EPA recently issued a formal
solicitation notice regarding the availability of funds for national
and
regional grants that support source reduction/pollution prevention and
resource conservation efforts
at the source. Information concerning eligibility, cost share, application
and submittal requirements
may be found on the EPA
Pollution Prevention Website. The deadline for submitting grant
proposals is June 19, 2006.
Applications for projects with a national perspective, i.e., benefitting
multiple EPA Regions, should
be forwarded to the EPA Headquarters office listed in Section IV.C. of
the solicitation notice.

Pollution Prevention Grants (P2)
P2 Grants (CFDA 66.708 - Pollution Prevention Grants) are available to
States or any agency or instrumentality of a State, e.g., State universities.
These grants provide funding for programs that address the reduction or
elimination of pollution across environmental media (air, water, and land)
and/or strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of pollution prevention
technical assistance programs by providing source reduction information
to businesses.
Source Reduction Assistance Grants
Source Reduction Assistance Grants (CFDA 66.717 - Source Reduction Assistance) are available to States, local governments, independent school districts, state-controlled and private institutions of higher education, and non-profit organizations (which include community action agencies and other organizations having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS). These grants provide funding for projects that implement one or more of the following source reduction/pollution prevention or resource conservation objectives:
Design for the Environment
Environmentally Preferable Purchasing
Developing Pollution Prevention projects of general interest
Developing Pollution Prevention projects of interest to states
and/or regions
Supporting Pollution Prevention information network activities
