Daughter: Hey Dad, a WOMAN came to talk to our school today to talk about the importance of safe drinking water. I learned a lot...
Dad: (not really paying attention) That's nice. What did she say?
Daughter: You know how we get our water from our own well? And how we have our own septic system?
Dad: (Sounding proud) Yeah I built those with a couple of the guys... pretty neat huh?
Daughter: Well, actually Dad, your well and septic systems might be too close to each other and that could contaminate our water.
Dad: (Sounding shocked) Huh?
Daughter: And contamination could mean bacteria, and viruses in our drinking water that could make us really sick!
SFX: (We hear Dad stop working on the truck)
Dad: Whoa...
Daughter: Yep...even the way you change the oil from your truck, if it's not done right, it could seep into the ground and affect our water too!
Dad: Wow, thanks princess... I'm gonna make a few changes around here. And to think your mother wanted to send you to one of those fancy private schools....
Daughter: You're welcome Dad. And now that I've helped you... you can help me...Can I borrow the truck to go to the movies with Tony later?
Dad: (calling for his wife for help) Honnnnneeeeeey......
