What is EPA Region 4? - Based in Atlanta, Georgia, EPA Region 4 is the southeast region of the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Created in 1970, the EPA implements the Federal laws designed to promote public health by protecting our Nation's air, water, and soil from harmful pollution. EPA Region 4 is responsible for the execution of the Agency's programs within Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
