Environmental Education Grants

The Environmental Education Grants program was established under Section 6 of the National Environmental Education Act of 1990. The purpose of this program is to provide seed money to help support environmental education projects which increase the public's awareness and knowledge about environmental issues, and provide them with the skills needed to make informed decisions and to take responsible actions. Educational institutions, state and local agencies, and nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply for funds under this program.

The application process is highly competitive. Between 15% and 20% of applications are funded. We are especially  interested in receiving applications for grants of $5,000 or less.
