ISO 14001
The requirements identified on this page are derived from the International Organization for Standardizations (ISO) 14001 standard for environmental management systems. Additional information on this standard can be obtained from their Web site at http://www.iso.org/iso/home.htmAn organization must have a systematic process for identifying and correcting compliance and EMS-conformance deficiencies. In addition, an organization must have a similar process for identifying potential deficiencies and correcting them before they become a problem. Most deficiencies are discovered during the audit process and corrected using the corrective and preventive action process.
Region 7 has developed a systematic process for tracking and correcting compliance and conformance deficiencies from discovery through closure. If you have questions about our checking and corrective action process, please contact the Region 7 Office of Public Affairs.
