EPA SEEKS CONSULTANT TO HELP IMPROVE ENVIRONMENT IN DES MOINES
Seeking environmental improvements in Des Moines, EPA Region 7 is soliciting proposals (not to exceed $25,000) from organizations to serve as an Agency consultant to identify specific ways to better local conditions. Des Moines City Manager Eric Anderson asked EPA to undertake such an effort.
The initial phase of this project will involve the collection and assessment of information from Des Moines residents. This will lead to a comprehensive understanding of public concerns regarding specific environmental and/or environmental health issues in the community.
The project’s results will be used by EPA and its community partners to further improve the quality of the city’s environment.
Proposals must be received by the EPA Region 7 office in Kansas City, Kansas, no later than February 1, 2004. For more details, visit www.epa.gov/region07/citizens/cbep/desmoinesrfp.htm or contact David Doyle at the number above.
