EPA RELEASES ITS PROPOSED PLAN FOR THE OMAHA LEAD SITE FOR PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT
Today, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released its Proposed Plan for the Omaha Lead Site, Omaha, Nebraska. This plan defines cleanup alternatives, as well as EPA’s preferred alternative in addressing lead contamination in residential yards in east Omaha. A 30-day public comment period opens July 16, 2004 and ends on August 16, 2004. Citizens are encouraged to make comments in writing, electronically, or during EPA’s Public Meetings, which will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, at the following locations:
