EPA OVERSEES CLEANUP AND DEMOLITION OF $7 MILLION ARSENIC PROJECT
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), will oversee the cleanup and demolition of an old herbicide facility located in North Kansas City, Missouri. The property is listed on EPA’s National Priorities List as one of the country’s highly contaminated sites.
The herbicide facility operated from as early as the 1920s until 1986. The clean up of this site will support EPA’s effort to put underutilized properties back into productive reuse. EPA, the State of Missouri and private parties have been working together collaboratively to ensure that the property is redeveloped. You are invited to witness the beginning of the clean up process.

This is a highly visible site and EPA has been working with the City of
