EPA EXTENDS ITS PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR THE OMAHA LEAD SITE
PROPOSED PLAN TO OCTOBER 15, 2004
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has extended the
public comment period for the Proposed Plan at the Omaha Lead Site, Omaha,
Nebraska to October 15, 2004. This plan defines cleanup alternatives and
EPA’s preferred alternative in addressing lead contamination in
residential yards in east Omaha. Citizens are encouraged to make comments
in writing, electronically, or by phone. Comments on the Proposed Plan
should be submitted to:
