EPA PROPOSES LISTING THE PARKVIEW WELL SITE TO THE NPL
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has taken the
next step, in a series of actions, by proposing the Parkview Well Site
to the National Priorities List. The National Priorities List (NPL) is
a list of hazardous waste sites which EPA has determined warrant further
response actions. The sites then become eligible for extensive, long-term
clean-up actions and related funding under the Superfund Program.
EPA intends to publish the rule in the Federal Register on Wednesday, September 23, 2004, which also prompts an Agency 60-day comment period, encouraging public responses. Information is available for public review on EPA’s website at:
