POTAWATOMI TRIBE, KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND EPA TO SIGN AGREEMENT FOR PESTICIDES ACTIVITIES
The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation (PBPN) will host a signing ceremony this Wednesday for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for continued coordination in implementing federal pesticide rules and regulations within the boundaries of the PBPN.
The PBPN Department of Planning and Environment, Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA), and EPA have completed work on the MOU. The MOU builds upon a history of cooperation in assuring the protection of human health and the environment concerning pesticides and their regulation within the PBPN.
Zach Pahmahmie, chairman of the PBPN Tribal Council, Constantine Cotsoradis, KDA deputy secretary, and Jim Gulliford, EPA Region 7 administrator, will participate in the signing.
