Dairy Manure Management in the San Joaquin Valley
Potential Locations for Dairy Manure Treatment Systems
EPA Region 9's Agriculture Program has incorporated California State Water Resources Control Board data on the locations and sizes of dairy herds, along with the locations of related utilities including publicly owned treatment works and electric transmission lines. Using this data, the Agriculture Program has generated maps indicating locations of dairies and concentrations of dairy manure in the Central Valley of California.
