Indoor Air Quality Tools for School Program - Asthma Management Training

Funding Sources
Purpose To reduce school occupants' exposure to indoor air pollution and to aid in asthma management through implementation of the program.
Eligible Applicants School districts or groups of Districts; Community‑based organizations or coalitions, Voluntary organizations, and other Non‑Profit Organizations; Colleges, Universities or other Institutions of Higher Education; State, Tribal, County, City or local Health Departments.
Award Amount

Up to $50,000.

Total Awarded in Fiscal Year Approximately $100,000.

Priorities
  • Improving indoor air quality in schools using practices and plans based on the EPA, Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools Program.
  • Reducing exposure to indoor asthma triggers and increase the number of people with asthma who take action to reduce their exposure to environmental triggers. 
  • Reducing indoor air asthma triggers in homes to improve the health of the home occupants using a asthma management approach.
