NOTIFICATION OF EXCEEDING SAFE DRINKING WATER MCL

Summary

This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) describes the procedures used to notify the EPA Laboratory Task Monitor when results of the analysis of drinking water samples exceed the promulgated maximum contaminant levels in the Safe Drinking Water Act.

This method describes notification procedures relating to all methods for which the EPA Region 9 Laboratory is currently certified and additional methods for which certification may be obtained in the future.
