Teach with Databases: Toxic Release
This curriculum was designed by the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) with support from the Environmental Protection Agency. It provides teachers and students with a community based context for studying chemistry, biology, and environmental sciences. The TRI is a public database that records annual chemical releases into the air, water and land.
This package uses TRI as a tool for student investigation. It includes a range of labs which cover sampling and analysis methods, Internet/CD-ROM usage, and guidance for applying TRI data to investigate toxic chemical releases in your community.
$31.50 NSTA members ($35.00 for nonmembers). Recommended for grades 7-12.
