One of the fabled O.M.H.S 60-year old Monkeypod trees.
Clearing the Land
- Onsite composting of the brush, trees, and weeds cleared
- Separated materials (wood, metal, and glass)
- Re-established water system with a holding tank for captured rainfall
- Sixty year old monkeypod trees carefully rehabilitated
Reconstruction
- Use paints of low toxicity
- Install a water catchment system
- Utilize natural ventilation
- Reuse suitable original materials
- Use original structure as foundation for new building

Prior to the revitalization of the site, Old Maui High had become littered with debris and graffiti.
Many volunteers put in long hours to help see the vision of a restored Old Maui High.
