This report, developed for California's Sustainable Building Task Force, includes in-depth information on the costs and benefits of using recycled building materials. - Western Regional Pollution Prevention Network
The Western Regional Pollution Prevention Network (WRPPN) is an alliance of local, state, federal and tribal pollution prevention (P2) programs throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, the Tribal Lands, and the Trust Territories of Guam and American Samoa. The Web site contains information on P2 in the construction industry including ways to effectively reduce and manage solid and hazardous waste produced in residential construction.
- Construction and Demolition Council
The Construction and Demolition Council (CDC) of the California Resource Recovery Association promotes the advancement and enhancement of C&D waste material recovery practices in California, and strives to expand C&D recovery infrastructure and markets. The CDC also advocates the incorporation of Green Building principles into C&D projects.
- Stardust Building Supplies
Stardust Building Supplies is a nonprofit discount building materials warehouse in Phoenix, Arizona that accepts tax deductible donations of new and used building materials and supplies from companies and individuals. Stardust deconstruction services also provides professional remodel tear-out at no charge, in exchange for re-sellable materials. All of these materials are then sold in one of the company's retail stores, or donated to other local community support organizations.
