Mission

Our mission is twofold:

first, to foster environmentally sound management of solid waste by working with states, territories, and tribes to improve solid waste programs and practices;
second, to provide direction and support for initiatives that promote waste prevention, job creation related to recycling and reuse ventures, and market development for recycled materials.
