The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation has an on- going salvage yard compliance and pollution prevention program. Twenty-two Compliance Fact Sheets, a Best Management Practices Guide, Mercury Switch Removal Procedures, a Marketers Guide and other resources are periodically updated and are available from the VT Auto Salvage Yard Resource Center . On-site assessments and over the phone assistance is available.
