Foxborough, Mass. Tanker Truck Rollover
A tanker truck carrying some 11,000 gallons of jet fuel rolled over at the intersection of Interstates 95 and 495 in Foxborough. One compartment on the tanker has ruptured, releasing about 3,500 gallons to the roadway and adjacent drainage areas. The interstate was closed to all non-emergency traffic. EPA was notified of the situation by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. The responsible party accepted responsibility for the clean up of the spill following the initial response by the Foxborough Fire Department, and EPA assisted the fire department.
