Mother Brook Oil Spill Response, Hyde Park, MA

On March 24, 2005, EPA responded to a request for assistance from the local fire department because of a sheen discovered on Mother Brook in Hyde Park, Mass. at the intersection of Business Street and Reservation Road. Upon arrival, EPA received an update from the Mass. Department of Environmental Protection and the local fire department; however, the sheen was no longer present. The Boston Police Department returned to the area the next morning to check for evidence of it and notify EPA if necessary.
