Serving New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and Eight Tribal Nations.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) ranks daily air quality from good to hazardous for five major air pollutants, and provides practical information on their effects on people's health.
The states of New Jersey and New York and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico monitor air quality around the clock and provide the results on-line. Air quality data for the U.S. Virgin islands is not currently available on-line. For information about air quality in the U.S. Virgin Islands, please call the EPA Air Programs Branch at 212-637-4249.
