Earth Day Conservation Project: BUILD A KESTREL BOX
Saturday April 20, 2013 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM

The American kestrel, North America's smallest and most widespread falcon, is unfortunately becoming hard to find. A cavity nester, the kestrel typically nests in holes in dead trees but it will also use a nest box. In this hands-on workshop, participants will build their own kestrel nest box to take home. Savvy tips on how and where to most effectively place it will be provided. The program is open to the public but space is limited. There is a $15 materials fee. Please call Five Rivers at 518-475-0291 by Monday, April 15 to register or for more information. http://www.dec.ny.gov/education/1835.html
