Hospitality P2
With approximately 3,700 lodging facilities in New York, 1,153 in New Jersey, 80 in the U.S. Virgin Islands, 219 in Puerto Rico and more than 43,000 restaurants in New York and New Jersey alone, the hospitality industry places a high demand on natural resources.
As the assessment and maps show, many regions with a high concentration of hospitality facilities are also those with high per capita resource use. Especially in these areas, preventing pollution in the hospitality industry will help us conserve limited natural resources.
