The goal of our EMS is to reduce greenhouse gas and other air emissions, discharges to water, generation of waste, use of electricity, use of supplies and use of petroleum, paper and water and increase our purchase of green products and alternative fuel.

Objective Target
Reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) and Air Emissions Determine baseline GHG emissions and create a GHG emissions inventory.
Reduce Discharge to Water Determine areas of runoff and conduct an opportunity assessment at each facility.
Review existing green cleaning policies/programs for each facility and create/update if needed.
Reduce Generation of Waste Determine baseline solid waste generation and conduct an opportunity assessment at each facility.
Reduce Use of Electricity Determine baseline electricity use and conduct opportunity assessment at each facility that includes onsite generation.
Reduce Use of Supplies

Increase Green Product Purchases
Review and assess existing contracts for compliance and modify if possible.
Assess and inventory green purchasing and track all new purchases.
Reduce Use of Petroleum
(Gasoline, Diesel, Oil and Gas)
Increase Alternative Fuel Purchases
Determine baseline petroleum use and conduct an opportunity assessment for further reduction.
Ensure all applicable fleet acquisitions are meeting Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) requirements.
Reduce Use of Paper Determine baseline paper use and conduct an opportunity assessment at each facility.
Reduce Use of Water Determine baseline water use and conduct an opportunity assessment at each facility.
