Drinking Water and Clean Water State Revolving Loan Funds
The Environmental Protection Agency provides significant financing to local governments, independent water service companies, and individual property owners for building drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects and installing other water quality best management practices. This financing is through two programs which are administered by the state agencies responsible for drinking water and wastewater programs or by state infrastructure financing authorities.
The Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) provides financing to plan and construct drinking water treatment, distribution, and storage facilities. The Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) provides financing to plan and construct wastewater facilities and water quality improvement projects.
If you are interested in low interest loans or other financing arrangements, you should contact the appropriate State Revolving Fund Contacts. These offices will answer any questions you have, explain procedures, and provide you with the appropriate application forms.
