PDF and ZIP file formats

About ZIP files: Some items associated with documents on these web pages have been archived and compressed using the the "ZIP" compression format. These files can be downloaded but will need to be "unzipped" with an "unzip" utility. Unzip utilities are available separately from

pkware.com,

winzip.com,

powerarchiver.com, as well as from

other software downloading sites.

Upon download and unzipping of these ZIP files you may have two or more separate files, possibly including an ASCII text file called README.TXT that will contain more information about the files and how they can be utilized.

About PDF files: Sections/chapters of many documents available for downloading or viewing from this web site are in Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF). To view the PDF files, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader or any program ( GhostScript, Transverter, Illustrator... ) that can accept PDF files as input.
