Copper Basin Mining District Historic Photographs

Description: Soil at the site of the old lead chamber plant in the Isabella area is contaminated with lead. Plans call for this site to be capped with a low permeability cover and clean soil by the end of 2003. This cap will prevent direct contact with the lead contamnination, keep it from washing into North Potato Creek, and minimize the possibility of it contaminating groundwater.
