EPA to offer Jobs training

Free training is being offered to Evansville residents under an EPA-sponsored program called the Superfund Job Training Initiative. The program will qualify participants for employment in the work being done during 2012 in the Jacobsville lead and arsenic-contaminated soil cleanup. The Super JTI program supports job training in communities affected by Superfund sites and encourages the employment of residents at local cleanups. The Super JTI program combines extensive classroom instruction with hands-on application. Upon completion of the program, each participant receives a certification that will allow them to apply for environmental cleanup jobs.  ...More
