Anderson Redevelopment Commission Scatterfield Road Site Public Comment
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is proposing corrective environmental action on a portion of the Anderson Redevelopment Commission Scatterfield Road Facility, formerly known as Delphi Energy & Engine management Systems, 2900 South Scatterfield Road, Anderson, Indiana. The proposed decision provides for repairing an in-ground containment system for soil contaminated by a former degreaser, and for in-place treatment to destroy the contamination. Groundwater (underground water supplies) be tween the former degreaser area and off-site of the property will be monitored to ensure contamination levels decrease over time.
EPA has determined that soil and gro undwater contamination do not endanger human health. EPA has scheduled a 45 day public comment period starting on April 8, 2013 ending at midnight May 23. To receive comments on the proposed actions. During this public comment period, EPA will accept written comments on the proposed determination and if requested will evaluate a public meeting.
