Background

Cleanup has included hookups to Rockford’s municipal water system, closing of some residential wells to prevent future use, and an activated carbon treatment unit at one of Rockford’s municipal wells. Plans also call for treating contaminated ground water and soil source areas.

The five-year review ensures the cleanup is effective in protecting people and the environment.
