The intent of this website is to make our Region 5 Environmental Management System (EMS) available for the information and use of our staff and external stakeholders. We also hope to be an example for others to assist them in developing their own EMS by offering for their use all or any part of our information.

The purpose of our facility's EMS is to prevent pollution before it's produced, reduce energy consumption, water usage and the amount of waste produced at our facility by conserving, re-using and recycling whenever possible.

Our EMS is a continual cycle of planning, implementing, reviewing and improving the processes and actions of our organization to meet our business and environmental goals.
