Multi-Agency Federal Workgroup
Participating federal agencies work with the tribal governments on the protection of human health and the environment.
The federal agencies that participate in this memorandum of understanding (MOU) work with the tribal governments located in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin on the protection of human health and the environment. Each agency has a trust responsibility to the tribes, which it fulfills through the implementation of its programs. It is recognized that the federal agencies often have common or overlapping responsibilities for the protection of human health and the environment in Indian Country.
