Lake Michigan Car Ferry, Inc., S.S. Badger

EPA received a petition in November 2011 from Lake Michigan Car Ferry, Inc., regarding the discharge of coal-ash slurry from their vessel, the S.S. Badger. This petition requests that the company be required to apply for and obtain an individual National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit for their vessel rather than continue coverage under the Vessel General Permit.

Kokomo Waste Water Treatment Plant

EPA accepted comments on the city's request to approve modified pretreatment requirements for industrial pollutants in water sent to the Kokomo Waste Water Treatment Plant. Comment period ended on Jan. 30, 2012.

Ohio Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations Program

EPA requested comments on a proposal to allow the Ohio Department of Agriculture to administer the part of Ohio's NPDES program.
